Buckeye Bullet Journal Supply List Welcome to the world of Bullet Journaling, a great way to stay organized and get creative! The joy of bullet journaling is that there are only three items you need to have in order to get started: A journal, a pen, and a ruler or straight-edge. That’s it! With anything, you can get fancy and buy lots of things to make your journal more special and personalized, but these are not required. I am often asked for recommendations for supplies when people see my journals, so I have put together this shopping list on Amazon, but again, you only need a journal, a pen, and a ruler. I look forward to creating with you! Journals • I recommend using a dot-grid journal, which means there are faint dots in a grid pattern printed on all of the pages. This allows for structure if you need it or freedom when you want it to be more creative. A lined, grid, or blank journal can also work, it’s all based on what you need. I recommend (in order) dot grid, grid, blank, or lined. • You can find very affordable dot grid journals at Michael’s or other craft stores. • When looking at journal sizes, you want something large enough to work for you, but not so big that it is cumbersome to carry around. I personally use an A5 journal which is 5.5” x 8”. • While I love all kinds of planners, bullet journaling is a specific format and style, so a pre-printed journal like a Happy Planner, Erin Condren, or Passion Planner won’t work for this particular workshop. Pens and Markers • Any pen will work! You don’t need to buy new pens or markers if you have some at home, although depending on the quality of your journal, some pens will “ghost” or bleed through to the next page. • I use Micron black pens for everyday use because they are high quality and come in very fine tips and I use Staedtler fineliners to add color to pages. • My personal favorite items are Zebra mildliners which add color without being too saturated. • If you are interested in faux calligraphy, Tombow markers are what you should purchase. Remaining Supplies • All other supplies on the list are just for fun! • Washi tape lasts forever, is super easy to apply and reapply, and really jazzes up your pages! • Planner stickers can be found anywhere! Amazon, Michael’s, Wal-Mart, even the Dollar Tree carries them now. They are easy to use and require zero artistic abilities! • I will use planning stencils every now and then to save time and save the hassle of plotting things out. Again, these are not required, but can make things a little easier for you.
